VIDEO: Heights Coalition Mayoral Forum (April 2)
By Jon Whiten • Apr 12th, 2009 • Category: Blog, PoliticsOn April 2, the Heights Coalition hosted a forum with all five candidates for mayor. They answered six specific questions, on open space/parks, zoning/construction code enforcement, taxes/abatements, mass transit, education and crime. We have all but the crime answers on video here (there were technical difficulties during that portion of the evening). Enjoy.
Big thanks to JCList.com for shooting the video, to Tris McCall for allowing us to use his music, to the candidates for showing up, and to the Heights Coalition for putting together an informative evening. The coalition’s members: Washington Park Association of Hudson County, Riverview Neighborhood Association, Heights Hope Neighborhood Association, The Hope Center, Pershing Field Garden Friends, Central Avenue Special Improvement District, New York Avenue Block Association, PS8 Neighborhood Association, AARP and Heights Community Relations Council.
