Election ’09: New Campaign Ads from Healy and Smith Drop

By • Apr 22nd, 2009 • Category: Blog, Politics

New TV ads from two mayoral candidates are hitting the airwaves — and YouTube — this week.

Jerramiah Healy’s ad (“Great”) focuses on his record — specifically the city’s anti-gang initiative, saying it helps “[stop] crime years before it might happen.” Harvey Smith’s ad (“The Numbers Don’t Lie”) also focuses on Healy’s record and highlights the increase in several crime categories from 2007-2008. These two ads point to the fact that most of the candidates are indeed treating this election as a referendum on the current administration.
