Sunday Morning Blog Roundup

- JournalSquared has a thoughtful review of Ward E council candidates Steven Fulop and Guy Catrillo’s respective performances at recent campaign meet-and-greets.

- Life Vicarious got all hot under the collar about what looked like the opening of an Apple store in the Newport Mall. Adam was a bit incredulous because the store, which is rumored to be coming to Newport this year, appeared to be a mere kiosk. But don’t get your righteous indignation ready yet, proud Chilltonians: turns out it’s just a dealer, not the real deal.

- Jersey City Construction reports that the city is saving a bit of labor (and money?) by replacing the grass in the medians along Montgomery Street with bricks. Also in the streetscape aesthetics category, Left Bank Art Blog takes a visual jab at the street construction currently going on along Newark Avenue near Grove Street.

- Don’t tell the folks at NJ Transit, but Marie at No Hurry in J.C. did some quick thinking and came up with a clever way to avoid getting fined for fare evasion on the light rail.

- Zac Clark reviews Kagero and the McMickle Bros. at Lucky 7.

- Another NYC food blogger was drawn to JC this week; this time, for a pancake wrap from the Brownstone Diner.

- Check out some photos of last weekend’s Art Attack craft fair, courtesy of go go distro. And BRED.IN.JERSEY has a couple snaps of Carlos “Mare 139″ Rodriguez’s recent opening at 58 Gallery.
