Jersey City Museum Launches Art Summer Camp for Teens

The Jersey City Museum is introducing a two-week intensive Visual Arts Camp designed for high school students, with a focus on portfolio development in anticipation of college applications.

The camp, which will run on Tuesdays through Sundays from Aug. 4-15, will include seminars in contemporary art, portfolio reviews from professors, professional artist social events and tours of the museum and its exhibitions.

The cost of the program is $500 per student, and the museum will provide most supplies, although students will be responsible for purchasing some items. A museum representative tells JCI that if enough students enroll, there will be two full scholarships available for Jersey City students.

Applications are due July 17 to Noaa Stoler. For more info, contact Stoler via email at nstoler (at) or by phone at 201-413-0303, extension 116.
