A Few Changes, and More to Come
By Jon Whiten • Jul 1st, 2009 • Category: BlogA quick bit of housekeeping to attend to this morning. We’re slowly introducing a handful of changes to the Independent website, some which you may (or may not) have already noticed.
We’re expanding our blogging roster to include some of our regular contributors — today marked the launch of that with Jonathan Fitzgerald’s introduction of a new blogular column — he’s planning to “drink at least one of every beer that Zeppelin Hall has to offer” and tell us all about it. (The number is close to 150 — this could take a while…)
We are now feeding through the seven most recent photos on Flickr tagged with “Jersey City” on our home page (under the main story). Each week, we’ll choose the one we like the best and give it proper blogular props in a new Photo of the Week feature. (If you don’t use Flickr, feel free to email us — info (at) jerseycityindependent.com — to be considered.)
We’ve also reordered the sidebar to help you get to our calendar listings more easily. (Be on the lookout for a better technology and other changes coming to the calendar in the next few months…)
These small changes are just part of the ongoing process of making this site work in the best way we know how. We’ll be sure to let you know as things progress — and feel free to let us know what you think about the changes, or what else you’d like to see on the site. Thanks for reading.
