Jersey City Green Awards Nominations Due This Friday
By Jon Whiten • Jul 14th, 2009 • Category: Blog, NewsThis year marks the second installment of the Jersey City Green Awards; nominations for developers, businesses and individuals are due this Friday, July 17. The awards, put on by the city and the Jersey City Redevelopment Agency(JCRA), recognize noteworthy environmental efforts in the areas of new development, business practices and residential homeowners’ initiatives.
“After last year’s awards were announced, I was inundated with calls for future nominations and, therefore, expanded the award program,” JCRA executive director Robert Antonicello said in a statement. “The Greenies [as the awards are affectionately called by some] are our way of recognizing innovation and leadership in the area of living and doing business in a sustainable way.”
Nomination forms and more details are available at the JCRA’s website. For more, call 201-547-5810.
