As for the people returning home from work, most of them just got off a packed PATH train that they've been cramped in for about half an hour, not to mention a job they have to travel to in said train. The last thing they want to deal with at 5/6 pm is a throbbing bass or a slashing guitar. Not to be such a buzz kill on these performances, but sometimes they are just TOO aggressive and loud for the people who happen to be in the area. Don't get me wrong, I love a good rock show - there is a time and place. I just think those two factors are a big influence on the lack of audience. It was 2am and yours truly was a tad drunk after a show in Athens, and I passed out at the diner in front of my food. So I still have no idea if it's any good, but it _sounds_ like a great idea!
