Holland Tunnel Closures Begin This Weekend
By Jon Whiten • Aug 21st, 2009 • Category: Blog, NewsStarting tomorrow, Aug. 22, the New York-bound Holland Tunnel will be closed Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 8 am. The closures will continue until the Port Authority’s $5.5 million cross drain replacement project is complete, which is slated to be next month.
Traffic will be diverted to the Lincoln Tunnel, and work will be suspended for holiday weekends and also may be canceled in the event of unfavorable weather conditions. For more, you can consult the Weekly Traffic Advisory at www.panynj.info for updates or call 201-360-5000 in case of an emergency.
