4th Street Arts is putting together a Macaroni & Cheese Bake-Off fundraiser for the 4th Street Arts & Music Festival this Sunday, Sept. 13, from 2-6 pm at 58 Gallery (58 Coles St.).

Chefs can enter in one of two categories: as a restaurant ($50 to enter; up to six restaurants can participate) or individual aficionado ($20 to enter; up to six individuals can participate). The two categories will be judged separately: by a panel of three “celebrity” judges and by popular vote. The panel of judges will vote on texture, taste, overall cheesiness, and originality.

Cost to taste all the mac & cheese goodness (and vote on it) will be $5.

The fundraiser will also feature a raffle of this sweet bicycle (see more pics here) custom-built by Grove Street Bikes and hand-painted by folks from Jersey City Tattoo Company. Raffle tickets are $10 and only 200 of them will be sold.

For more info or to enter the bakeoff, contact Marc Caterina at Marc.Caterina (at) gmail.com.
