2009 Jersey City Artists Studio Tour: The Web-Based Map

By • Oct 1st, 2009 • Category: Arts, Blog

We’re happy to unveil our “translation” of the official 2009 Jersey City Artists Studio Tour program into a digitized map format, with a little help from our friend Google Maps. Since the map is based (mostly) off of the official printed program and guide, not all venues include information about what and who is showing there, but most do. If you have a correction, addition, or just want to say ‘Hi,’ drop me a line at jwhiten (at) gmail.com.

Also, a special treat for you mobile web users. We’ve got a back-end hack to enable this map to be used on the iPhone’s maps application. Just click on this link, and you should be prompted to open the map in the maps application. It’s my understanding that the show descriptions aren’t available when the map is viewed this way, but at least you’ll know which venues are participating — in relation to where you already are. If you are having problems with the mobile use of the map, please let us know.
