Megan Gulick’s ‘Human Marvels!’ exhibit has its official opening reception this evening at 32 Jones Gallery; and a big, 92.3-FM sponsored, pop show is set to go off at St. Peter’s College, featuring Fabolous, Iyaz, Serani and Kim Sozzi.
SATURDAY
During the day, you can head up to the Reservoir for its closing season party. For music lovers, Saturday night features three live shows that all feature some quality acts: The One & Nines and Rainbow Fresh play a special Saturday show at Lucky 7′s; The Frozen Gentlemen and Go Kat Go will be at the Lamp Post; and the Iron Monkey has a massive bill, with The Press, Cloned Moor Solares, Impossible Voyage, A Lesser Evil and wearedeparted.
Note: Despite what we reported last week, it now looks like shows will continue to be at the Iron Monkey until January, when they will return to IM Automata Chino.
SUNDAY
Liberty Humane Society’s annual ‘Bark in the Park’ fundraiser and fair is in Liberty State Park during the day; Chillfest kicks off its fifth season with a screening of An Englishman in New York (for more on Chillfest, check out our story from yesterday); and it is one of your last chances to check out the group show ‘Nyktomorph’ at Curious Matter (click here for the JCI review).
