Extra PATH Service Tomorrow for Yankees Ticker-Tape Parade

By • Nov 5th, 2009 • Category: Blog

Plenty of New Jersey baseball fans were overjoyed last night when the Yankees won their 27th World Series. (Me, not so much, as a Mets fan. Yes, you can jeer.)

Anyway, the traditional ticker-tape parade is scheduled to begin tomorrow at 11 am in Lower Manhattan, and to help keep the train traffic running smoothly, the Port Authority announced today that it will be adding extra trains on both the Newark-World Trade Center and Hoboken-World Trade Center lines during both the morning and afternoon/evening peak travel times. In addition, the agency will dispatch safety-vest clad passenger information agents at the Newark, Harrison, Journal Square, Hoboken and the World Trade Center stations to help straphangers navigate the system.

More info on the parade can be found here.
