This Weekend’s Best Bets

TODAY
Still looking for last-minute holiday gifts? Swing by Creative Grove this afternoon to pick up that locally made unique gift for whomever is left on your list. This evening, indie rock duo Karen and Joe will play a set at Sava Polish Meat Market & Deli, and J CITY Theater’s “A Tuna Christmas” will start wrapping up its run at St. Michael’s Church (Saturday night is the final performance for the year.) And if you want to head into NYC, your best bet is Tris McCall’s CD release show at Pianos (he’s on at 9 pm) — for more McCall, check out the Q&A we did with him here.
SATURDAY
Local faves Miss Ohio will be joined by Mud, Blood & Beer for a free show at the Lamp Post tonight around 10 pm.
SUNDAY
The closing reception for Dana Gannon’s “Animalia” show at 58 Gallery is today from 2 to 5 pm; Gannon will reportedly be unveiling a new work for the closing. Later on, check out the Stockinette Christmas Spectacular, which will feature music from locals like Found Wandering and Kevin Gosa.
