Site Sampling to Take Place at Garfield Avenue Chromium Site Today

By • Jan 4th, 2010 • Category: Blog

Workers will use a drill rig mounted to a pickup truck to collect soil samples at the chromium-contaminated site on Garfield Avenue today, weather permitting. The work is expected to take one day only.

The samples will be taken from about four feet below the ground, and then a New Jersey-certified lab will analyze the samples to determine the extent of the chromium contamination at the site. That information will be used to plot further cleanup activities at the site.
