Registration Open for Free Adult Education Classes
By Jon Whiten • Jan 21st, 2010 • Category: BlogDid you know that the Jersey City public school district offers free evening adult vocational and commercial programs for Jersey City residents? Well, it does, and registration for some upcoming classes is currently open.
The courses including computer classes in keyboarding, and Microsoft’s Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs, as well as vocational classes in furniture repair/refinishing, basic jewelry making, sewing and everyone’s favorite, boiler license preparation.
There is free on-site child care at the classes, which take place at Dickinson High School. Registration for the pgorams is open next Tuesday and Wednesday (Jan. 26 and 27) from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at Dickinson (2 Palisade Ave.).
