Rising Tide Capital’s Community Business Academy earlier this month graduated the largest class in the program’s five-year history. The graduating class featured 39 entrepreneurs with business ideas covering everything from organic shaving cream to restaurants to daycare centers.

“We will be there to continue to assist and support you as you continue on your journey to entrepreneurial success, because this is real community building, done one business at a time, one dream at a time, one step at a time,” Community Business Academy director Jay Savulich said in his speech to the graduates.

The business academy is a 10-week course that provides hands-on training in business management and planning. Rising Tide will be holding a free orientation session for the next academy on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 9 am, at the China Spice Restaurant (839 Newark Ave.).
