DOT: Wittpenn Bridge Will be Closed Next Two Weekends

The Route 7/Wittpenn Bridge that connects Jersey City to Kearny will be closed this and next weekend as part of ongoing repairs to the structure, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The bridge will close at 10 pm on Friday night (Feb. 5), and will reopen on Monday morning (Feb. 8 ) at 5:30 am. The bridge will be closed for the same time period next weekend.
In the event of inclement weather, the first weekend closure will be postponed until Friday, Feb. 12, followed by another weekend closure starting Friday, Feb. 19. We are supposed to get some snow, so your best bet to find out if the bridge is actually closed is to visit www.511nj.org.
