Pancake Party: Free Shortstacks at IHOP Tomorrow

By • Feb 22nd, 2010 • Category: Blog, Food

National Pancake Day might not be a federal holiday — yet — but don’t let that stop you from taking IHOP up on its offer of one free short stack of buttermilk pancakes per person all day tomorrow, Feb. 23. The only IHOP in Jersey City is at 700 Route 440 right at the intersection of Communipaw Avenue. The promotion is slated to run from 7 am to 10 pm, but — as always — call them first to make sure it’s a go (201-432-0400).

The pancake promotion is a fundraiser that IHOP puts on each year; they ask that you donate to support local children’s hospitals, through Children’s Miracle Network, or to other local charities, instead of ponying up for the stack. Since Pancake Day’s 2006 inception, IHOP has helped raise more than $3.25 million for local charities. Last year, New Jersey IHOPs donated $40,310 to Children’s Specialized Hospital.
