Furlough Day Will Close Recreation Dept. Wednesday

Another furlough day is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 24, but most city offices and workers will not be affected. Only the Recreation Department will be closed; everything else will remain open, including — as usual — the police and fire departments.

Here’s the schedule for the remaining furlough days, which will run through June.

The following city offices will be closed on these days:

Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010: Recreation Department

Friday, March 12, 2010: Administration; City Clerk; Health & Human Services; Housing, Economic Development & Commerce; Mayor’s Office; Public Works; Tax Assessor; Law Department; Municipal Courts

Friday, March 19, 2010: Administration; City Clerk; Health & Human Services; Housing, Economic Development & Commerce; Mayor’s Office; Public Works; Tax Assessor; Law Department; Municipal Courts

Wednesday, March 24, 2010: Recreation Department

Monday, April 5, 2010: Administration; City Clerk; Health & Human Services; Housing, Economic Development & Commerce; Mayor’s Office; Public Works; Tax Assessor; Recreation Department

Friday, April 9, 2010: Law Department; Municipal Courts; Recreation Department

Friday, April 23, 2010: Administration; City Clerk; Health & Human Services; Housing, Economic Development & Commerce; Mayor’s Office; Public Works; Tax Assessor; Law Department; Municipal Courts

Monday, May 10, 2010: Recreation Department

Monday, May 17, 2010: Administration; City Clerk; Health & Human Services; Housing, Economic Development & Commerce; Mayor’s Office; Public Works; Tax Assessor
