JC Fridays Returns Tomorrow

The quarterly arts extravaganza JC Fridays returns to Jersey City this Friday, March 5, with nearly 40 events lined up all over town for art lovers of all ages.

As part of the festivities, the city and Art House Productions will honor three local businesses — Fischer Confections, Churrasqueira Europa Restaurant & Bar and Light Horse Tavern — with the city’s “Business Retention Award,” in part recognizing the businesses’ art-friendliness.

Some of the art highlights include Adam Ramirez at 32 Jones, Target First Fridays at the museum, “Behind Bluer Boroughs” at Fish With Braids, Art House Productions’ “inventionREinvention” (originally slated to run during last fall’s studio tour), Peter Wasinger’s “Recycled” at the new Paulus Hook jewelry boutique Loveprint, the latest installment of E. Jan Kounitz’s “Mo-ME HOOD” at Willie Joe’s Pizza in the Heights … you get the idea. We could go on here, but we might as well just direct you to the full listings on the JC Fridays website. And here’s a handy Google Map of all the JC Fridays locations:
