Meeting on Starting Local Food Co-op Scheduled for Saturday
By Jon Whiten • Mar 19th, 2010 • Category: Blog, FoodThe Jersey City Food Co-op Initiative is holding an informal community meeting Saturday, March 20, at 2 pm, to talk about the idea behind and the vision for starting a food co-op in the city. Food co-ops are usually customer-owned, with members often pitching in to work, which helps bring the price of high-quality food down.
The meeting is at Our Lady of Sorrows Church (91 Clerk St.). For more information, click here.
