Liberty Humane Hosting Open House ‘Pets-a-Palooza’ Party

The Liberty Humane Society (LHS) is preparing to celebrate the coming July 4 holiday by opening its doors to the community for a full weekend for its inaugural Pets-a-Palooza Open House Party.
The event, slated for June 26 and 27, will include family friendly activities, low-cost micro-chipping and nail clippings for cats and dogs, a mobile pet spa for dog grooming, professional behavior trainers to dispense free training tips, raffles and door prizes for free pet grooming or free pet sitting/dog walking certificates.
As LHS development director Janet Russell recently explained, the event is just one part of the shelter’s renewed commitment to reaching out and solidifying its role as an integral part of the Jersey City community.
Of course, a big lure for folks will be checking out all the cats and dogs LHS has up for adoption — and adoption fees will be waived for adult cats and dogs over one year old (kitten and puppy fees will still apply).
