Free HIV Tests Friday for National HIV Testing Day

While Sunday is the official National HIV Testing Day, both Jersey City and at least one service provider are offering free HIV tests Friday, June 25 to commemorate the occasion.
The city is hosting on-site HIV tests — and offering free information, raffles and food — at the Mary McLeod Bethune Life Center (140 Martin Luther King Drive) from noon to 5 pm, and Horizon Health Center will offer on-site rapid HIV testing, information from community organizations, food and music at its event at 726 Bergen Ave. from 10 am to 5 pm.
For more information about the city event, call 201-547-5583; for more information about the Horizon event, call 201-451-6300, ext. 1114.
Free HIV testing is not only available on National HIV Testing Day, of course. Jersey City is home to a number of locations that offer free testing, and several others that offer testing for a fee.
