Taqueria, Casa Dante Get Nods on Best NJ Restaurants List from ‘Inside Jersey’

In its August issue, Inside Jersey (the NJ Monthly-esque magazine published by the Star-Ledger) rolls out its reader-voted Best NJ Restaurants list, and two Jersey City spots made the cut, though neither won first place.

Downtown Mexican favorite Taqueria (236 Grove St.; 201-333-3220)‎ placed second for Best Mexican, falling short of Casa Maya out in Meyersville. Meanwhile, Journal Square institution Casa Dante (737 Newark Ave.; 201-795-2750‎) came in third in the Best Italian category, behind Millburn’s Basilico and Chatham’s Scalini Fedeli.

Only one other Hudson County restaurant appears on the list, and that’s Hoboken’s Dino and Harry’s Steakhouse, which finished third for Best Steakhouse.
