Hudson Restaurant Week’s Summer Edition Begins Monday

This summer’s installment of Hudson Restaurant Week returns to Jersey City and surrounding areas next week and runs through August 6.

Eleven new restaurants — including Jersey City’s Amiya, Hamilton Inn, Michael Anthony’s, More, Sky Thai and Teppan Bar & Grill — have come on board for the event, which features discounted dining at nearly 50 of the area’s best restaurants.

Those 6 Jersey City restaurants join Bistro La Source, Boca Grande, Casa Dante, Edward’s Steakhouse, The Embankment, Fire & Oak, Honshu, Komegashi, Komegashi Too, Liberty House, Light Horse Tavern, The Merchant, O’Connell’s, The Pointe, Porto Leggero, Sawadee, Soul Flavors and South City Grill, bringing the total number of Jersey City establishments taking part to 24. There are also a handful of restaurants elsewhere in Hudson County — mostly Hoboken — involved in the event, which features prix-fixe lunches as low as $13 and dinners as low as $23.

Business owners say the two-week event helps bring customers out during a normally slow time of year, according to Hudson Restaurant Week founder and organizer Tamara Remedios.
