After July’s kitten adoption event was cut short due to rain, Liberty Humane Society and Companion Animal Trust are giving it a whirl again with the second annual Kitten Bonanza adoption event this weekend outside of City Hall.
While there’s been quite a bit of turmoil at the shelter in recent weeks, there are still scores of animals that need to be adopted.
The groups say they hope to surpass last year’s total of 40 kittens adopted this year. Adoption fees will be $110, which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, de-worming and socializing. In addition, each adopted pet receives one free month of complimentary pet insurance from ShelterCare Insurance.
THE DETAILS
Second Annual Kitten Bonanza; Sunday, August 29 from 11 am to 4 pm (weather permitting); City Hall Plaza, 280 Grove St. For more info, call 201-547-4147 and press 0.
