Jersey City Museum Looking for Jersey City-Based Artists for Fall Exhibition
By Jon Whiten • Aug 30th, 2010 • Category: Arts, Blog
Artists or groups of artists who live and/or have studios in Jersey City are invited to submit work to be considered for A Splendid Energy, the Jersey City Museum’s upcoming show that will be part of the 2010 Jersey City Artists’ Studio Tour (October 2 and 3) and stay up at the museum through the end of October.
Entrants may submit only one work (no larger than 4′ x 6′), and any medium is OK — just no electronic art or video. Proof of Jersey City residence or studio space — like a utility bill copy with name and address — is required with the application, as is a 100-word (maximum) description of the work, including title, dimensions, medium, date, name, contact number, email address and value of work.
Entries are due next Tuesday, September 7. Email entries (with a jpg sized no larger than 1 MB) to mloughlin (at) jerseycitymuseum.org. Those who are selected will be notified by September 17.
