Hudson County’s Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs recently received a New Jersey Council on the Arts grant of $101,279 to fund local arts programs, and it is currently accepting applications for arts organizations who want a piece of the funding.

The matching grants will go to programs to be offered between January 1 and December 31 of 2011, administered by (mostly) nonprofit organizations located in, and serving the residents of, Hudson County.

Applications are due by September 24 at 5 pm; you can check out and download an application here. But for anyone who wants to know more about, or needs help with, the process, the county office has scheduled a workshop for next Wednesday, September 8 at 6 pm, at the Brennan Courthouse Rotunda, 583 Newark Ave. For more information, call 201-459-2070.
