With Hurricane Earl expected to pass east of our region late today, the National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for Hudson County.
Forecasters are calling for periods of rain or rain squalls, along with gusty winds, this afternoon into this evening. Flooding could occur in low-lying areas of Jersey City, and the Jersey City Office of Emergency Management is urging residents to secure their outdoor items, particularly if they have items on a high-rise balcony.
The rain is expected to end by around 10 pm this evening.
