Tomorrow marks the ninth anniversary of 9/11, and there are a number of ways to commemorate the occasion in Jersey City if you so choose.

The city’s annual “Reflections” ceremony will be held on the Hudson Riverfront at Grand Street; the event will include music and speakers, and it begins at 8:20 am on Saturday.

There will also be a Remembrance Ceremony in the Newport section, where people can place flowers on the 9/11 memorial in Newport Square and light candles; that is at 9 am.

In Journal Square, Pat O’Melia’s Hudson Media Group will host a memorial service at the fountain at 5 pm. A few hours later in the same spot, the Jersey City Peace Movement will hold a candlelight vigil at from 7 to 8:30 pm.

Jumping backwards one day, and on a different note, WeAreChange New Jersey brings the NJ 9/11 Truth Conference to Downtown Jersey City’s Black Waxx Studios this evening at 6 pm. The event, designed “to expose the lies of 9/11 nine years later, and to understand the various aspects of the New World Order that has emerged as a result,” features the premiere of WeAreChange’s new film, 2001: The Year We Made Contact, live music and a number of speakers, including several 9/11 first responders.
