About 500 people attended Saturday’s Ghosts of Uncle Joe’s concert and fundraiser at the Historic Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery, raising $4,000 for the continued restoration of the historic resting place. The costumed revelers in attendance heard local musicians impersonate REM, Neutral Milk Hotel, Motorhead, the Descendents, the Misfits, and the Cramps. I missed the first two bands, but the Descendents and Misfits inspired crazy costumed mosh pits and the Cramps (despite some technical difficulties) did a great job capturing the primitive throb of that classic punk band.
