Hamilton Health and Fitness Celebrates Opening & Project Pilates Moves into the New Space

After several years of planning, Jersey City’s Christie Freeman has opened Hamilton Health and Fitness in the Hamilton Square development in Downtown Jersey City. Freeman has also moved her Pilates studio, Project Pilates, from 1 McWilliams Place into the new facility at 161 Erie Street.

Designed by the architecture and interior design firm Mullman Seidman, the multi-level fitness center features cardio and weight training equipment, diverse group classes and the Project Pilates studio. The facility also has a 60-foot indoor lap pool, accompanied by a full range of aquatics programs for all ages and abilities.

Hamilton Health and Fitness — which opened its doors on November 18 and already has about 400 members — also offers personal training sessions, holistic nutrition programs, a sauna, two steam rooms and a children’s center, which offers supervised childcare for up to two hours and can be monitored on televisions located throughout the gym.

“[We offer] something for everyone, whether you are a mom-to-be, fitness enthusiast or novice,” Freeman says. “I wanted to create an atmosphere where members could choose the best exercise regimen for them, and have access to nutritional education. Both of these components will help our members achieve their health goals.”

Hooray for HHF. The space is amazing, the pool is delicious, the red hot pilates instructors are out of this world, the trainers are spot on. This place was well worth the wait. Kudos to Christie for adding such a warm, wonderful, healthy, new venue to the JC scene.
