Hurricane Irene Forces Cancellation of Saturday’s Hudson Pride Parade & Festival; Makeup Date is October 9

With it looking like Hurricane Irene could make a mess of Jersey City, particularly its Downtown area, this weekend, Saturday’s 2011 Hudson Pride Parade & Festival has been canceled. The event has been moved instead to Sunday, October 9.
Although the festival is canceled, there is a Hudson Pride Social tonight at Pint (34 Wayne Street) at 7 pm, and Pint and Gayborhood Jersey City are moving forward with their 2nd annual “Super Gayborhood Pride Party,” which is scheduled for Friday from 9 pm to 3 am, also at Pint.
