More of This Weekend’s Events in Jersey City Called Off Due to Hurricane Irene

Yesterday we reported that Saturday’s Hudson Pride Parade and Festival had been cancelled due to the threat of Hurricane Irene and moved to October 9.
We’re receiving word that a number of other local events are being called off as well. Below is a list of confirmed cancellations; we’ve reached out to some other event organizers and will update this list as necessary.
- Saturday’s Butterfly Festival in the Brunswick Community Garden has been canceled; no make-up date has been set.
- Sunday’s Polish is Beautiful Festival in Paulus Hook has been canceled; no make-up date has been set.
- The St. Paul of the Cross Heritage Festival in the Heights, originally scheduled to run today through Sunday, has been rescheduled to September 16 through 18.
- Sunday’s closing reception for Kayt Hester’s Caribou show at LITM has been canceled.
- Tonight’s free screening of the documentary Outrage at City Hall has been canceled; no make-up date has been set.
- Saturday night’s Fabulous Uptown Music concert at Boca Grande, featuring the Nathan Carpenter Band and Rainbow Fresh, has been canceled.
