‘Sixpoint Sessions,’ Craft Beer and Vinyl at LITM
Sixpoint brewery’s beer and vinyl record party makes its New Jersey debut tonight at LITM. Sixpoint Sessions launched in December of 2010 in Philadelphia by the brewery’s regional rep “Jersey” Dan Bisogno when he thought, “Why aren’t there more DJ nights in establishments with good beer?” He decided to merge the two in a city that celebrates both its beer culture and musical heritage.
He says that synergy is found in the enjoyment of the quality of both entities.
Since then, the party has become a monthly event in Philadelphia and has helped the Brooklyn-based brewery brand itself and expand its market. And now it’s come to Jersey City.
“Jersey” Dan says that the decision to bring the party to Jersey City was a “no-brainer.” He adds that, “The artistic energy and open-mindedness of Jersey City is unmatched in the state.”
The two beers on draft tonight include Sixpoint’s spring release, Harbinger Saison–an American saison, and Brownstone–an American brown. Both are draft only and rare pours in New Jersey. To compliment them, Sweet Action, Righteous Ale and the brewery’s newest release, RESIN Double IPA will be available in cans.
“Jersey” Dan will be DJing himself tonight. A sample of what he’ll be playing can be found here, “While I am certainly not Diplo or Grand Master Flash, I feel my record collection can entertain a crowd. And the beer speaks for itself.”
LITM is at 140 Newark Avenue and the party starts at 9 pm.
