University of Phoenix-Jersey City Holds Personal Branding Workshop For Job Seekers

While the economy may be improving, unemployment remains high. In fact, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the current Unemployment Rate in the New York-Northern New Jersey-Long Island MSA is 8.2 percent. And that statistic does not include people who have given up looking for jobs, nor people who have settled on jobs below their qualifications and who are still looking to return to their chosen field.

Thankfully, the University of Phoenix Jersey City Campus is looking to help job seekers stand out — after all, that first impression goes a long way, and we could all use a hand in that. Oh, and did we mention how-to workshop on marketing yourself event is free?

The Personal Branding Workshop will help attendees learn how to stand out in an area where people are always trying to stand out. By showcasing skills, strengths and experiences, learn how to stand out from other job applicants. Additionally, the workshop will help job seekers identify and market what added value they bring to a situation or organization to give them an advantage in today’s competitive hiring landscape.

The workshop is scheduled for Saturday, March 31 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the University of Phoenix Jersey City Campus (100 Town Square Place). Go here for more information.
