Art Exhibit in Jersey City Features Artist Who Colors With Light

The Majestic Theatre Condominium Lobby will host a new art exhibit, “Roger Sayre: Little Ticks of Time.”

The exhibition presents 12 new works on paper by the inventive artist. Like the paintings of Josef Albers, his photo-based work on paper embraces abstraction. He uses neither camera nor film to produce his color fields. Instead, he projects colored light on photographic paper.

The exhibit will kick off on June 1 as part of citywide art festival JC Fridays. An opening reception will be held from 7  to 9 pm at the Majestic Theatre Condominiums, 222 Montgomery St. The show will run through October 26.
