PHOTOS: Everything Jersey City Festival 2012

On Saturday, thousands attended the 5th annual Everything Jersey City Festival on Central Avenue which occupied 10 blocks between Congress and Hutton streets.

The event, which was hosted by the Central Avenue Special Improvement District, featured performances by the Haesun Jung Korean Traditional Dance Academy, Emerald Fire Dance, The Hope Center for the Performing Arts, 407 Moves from County Prep High School as well as the Jersey City Children’s Theater, belly dancing, a mariachi band and two fashion shows.

The festival’s four performance stages were graced by the likes of The Audiobodies, Rumba Con Son, The Manhattan Dolls, Leah Le Grace, DJ Pastiche, the McNair Academic Glee Club and more.

Festival-goers could also explore various vehicles from Metro Honda, a Hudson County SWAT vehicle and a Jersey City fire truck. Kids activities included a rock climbing wall, petting zoo, moonbounce and more. One of the biggest crowd-pleasers was Field Station: Dinosaurs’s animated baby Tyrannosaurus rex puppet.
