While they were working multi-million-dollar accounts at Goldman Sachs, Julissa Arce, at the time a VP in the Private Wealth Management Structured Product Business, met Jay Finch, who worked as an investment banker, and together realized they needed to make a change and set their sights a little bit lower where pay scales are concerned. The pair, grounded in their neighborhood communities — Finch lives in Jersey City and Arce in East Harlem — felt their financial expertise could be better used to help the undeserved small business community get loans.
