JCI Magazine Cover Submission
The Jersey City Independent proudly features art by local artists on all of our magazine covers. Art submissions for JCI magazine can be sent to us at any time for consideration.
We’re currently seeking art submissions to be featured on the next JCI magazine cover. For the upcoming issue, images we’re looking for are ones that bring to mind ideas of Spring, rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, regrowth, and of course Jersey City.
Email art images to us at, submissions(at)jerseycityindependent.com, by January 22, 2016 to be considered for inclusion in our next issue.
Here’s how it works:
Artists living in Jersey City can submit a digital image of their artwork. Work can be created in any medium. Submit up to five digital images (max). Send only original, unpublished work. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis and are cumulatively considered for future issues. Prior to publishing, we will choose an image to use as the magazine cover image. Chosen artist receives credit and a short biographical write up in the magazine and on our website.
While the trim size of the magazine cover is 6.25″ x 8.25″, we accept work of all sizes and dimensions, with the acknowledgment that the cover may only feature a portion of the work. In addition, submissions will be altered to allow us to feature our logo, tagline and other potential editorial information on the cover. The artist is responsible for providing a high-resolution digital image of the selected work (300 dpi) and must sign our cover submission agreement.
Remember you can send submissions of your artwork to us anytime at, submissions(at)jerseycityindependent.com.
