2017 marks the 10th year the Historic Downtown Jersey City Farmers Market has been operating. Organized annually by the Historic Downtown Special Improvement District (HDSID), it features various NJ and NY metro area farmers, bakeries and artisan food, health and beauty goods, and more. This farmers market happens twice a week, on Monday and Thursday, and runs May 1 through December 22.

Artist Reception for the interactive Fall exhibition "Future Reboot." HCCC Professor Jeremiah Teipen coordinates the group exhibition Future Reboot in which artists use science, technology, engineering and math to create work that questions our current trajectory. Artists include Meng Chih Chiang, Taezoo Park, Mark Ramos, Nooshin Rostami, Jeremiah Teipen, and Yaloo.
