The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has filed a motion to intervene in the federal application of Texas-based Spectra Energy’s plan to run a natural gas pipeline through Jersey City into Manhattan. The short three-page letter was filed Friday with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), just a few days after Jersey City filed its motion seeking intervenor status.
