PHOTOS: Battle of Paulus Hook Commemoration

There was a fifin’ and a drummin’ as the Paulus Hook neighborhood came out last night to commemorate the anniversary of 1779’s Battle of Paulus Hook, the Revolutionary War battle in which Major Light Horse Harry Lee led revolutionary soldiers on a night assault on the British-controlled fort, taking 158 prisoners in their efforts.
