Attention Motorists: New Ramps Will Change Traffic Patterns Near Tonnelle Circle

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (DOT) says motorists should be prepared for a new traffic pattern as two new ramps open near Tonnelle Circle. Last weekend, the DOT opened a new ramp from Duffield Avenue/St. Paul’s Avenue to Charlotte Avenue southbound; this ramp connects to Route 1&9 Truck and Route 7 heading west. Now this weekend the DOT plans to open a second Charlotte Avenue ramp that connects only to Route 7 westbound; drivers going from St. Paul’s Avenue to Route 7 will use this second ramp.

Earlier today we told you that the Route 7/Wittpenn Bridge was going to be closed this weekend beginning at 9 pm tonight. But we’ve received word that the closure has been moved to next weekend, from 9:30 pm on May 14 to 5:30 am on May 17.
